About Us
Blackpool Clarion is a cycling club for Blackpool and The Fylde for local cyclists looking to develop their own abilities, skills and interests in the company of others. Our Club is run by a committee who are themselves keen cyclists from the Local area. All committee members are dedicated to improving and developing the club for the benefit of its members.
Our aim is simple – to enjoy the full spectrum of cycling activities from the recreational through to the competitive whether that be on the road, track or even giving the Velodrome a go! If like us you want a balance of enjoyment and competition without the pressure of a pure ‘racing’ club then Blackpool Clarion is for you!
With a great mix of members comprising of men, women, and children from 5 to 70+ years of age and with varied levels of fitness we share our interests, knowledge and experience for the benefit o all those in the club.f
Something for Everyone
Regular Club Rides and not just Sundays..

We offer road cycling rides for all abilities at different times during the week. The main rides for the club start at 9am on a Sunday though so if you want to come and meet us thats the best place to start...
Social Rides
Weekly evening social rides in the lighter months. All welcome on these. A great way to stretch your legs and wind down on a midweek evening.
Annual special event rides

Obviously bike riding is what we do but we like a social night every now and again aswell. We also have other fun rides during the year like our Christmas fancy dress ride!

Park and Ride rides
Jump in the car and head off to the lakes or maybe Wales and ride on less familiar or especially challenging roads. Great fun these
Hostel trips
A couple of days riding with a night stop in between. We aim to do at least one of these a year.
Track Riding
Safe winter riding at Palatine track. When we run these it is open to all members who ride at their own pace. Safe for all and training for some its up to you.

Sunday rides start at 9am from the clock tower in Stanley Park. New riders are always welcome!
